About the School:
We have been awarded a Best Brand award from the Korea Times as the top school in Junior Education for over nine years, our students have won numerous awards in national English aptitude tests, and every student must pass a strict entrance test before being allowed to join our academy.
We have numerous campuses throughout Korea and Vietnam. We have a good reputation among teachers and parents, and several of our teachers have re-signed for more than 10 years. Our program is well-developed, and we offer a very nice salary and benefit package.
About Seongbuk Campus:
Seongbuk Poly was founded by a non-Korean and a former POLY teacher. For this reason, there are no awkward communication problems or cultural situations in-house. In addition, because I began teaching at POLY in 2001, I have spent many years using the same material that our teachers use. Some of our staff have been with me for years, and they will be more than happy to help you adjust.
The entire management staff has direct classroom experience. A school being run by teachers is very different from a school being run by pure businessperson.
Seongbuk is the traditional center of Seoul, thus we are in close proximity to everything you would like to experience in the city, including universities, night life, nature, and traditional sites. Watch this video to see what you can do nearby:

The ideal applicant:
This is not a working vacation: it's work. The hours are longer than you might used to be working in the US, and you are affecting the lives of children which means that you need to be focused on helping our students learn. The ideal applicant is mature, intelligent, healthy, and giving. Once you commit, you need to do your best for the children. That means learning the curriculum quickly, staying on schedule, and communicating well with management. It's always a rough start, but once you get it, your year will fly by. We work hard, but you will not find these benefits in North America, and there will be a lot of opportunities for fun as well once you get the hang of things. We will be there to support you through the whole year.
